What you will do

At the direction of the Manager of Respiratory Care, the Respirartory Shift Supervisor is the front - line representative to oversee the daily operations and supervises Respiratory Care personnel for the Respiratory Care Manager; ensuring direct care, respiratory practitioners have the clininical and human resources necessary to meet the operational needs of the department and Baystate Medical Center. Acts as a liaison between respiratory shifts and other disciplines participating in collaborative practice assessment and development.  Assess staff performance; assists in performance evaluations, assists in improving staff engagement, assists in improving patient/family experience and developing and executing performance improvement initiatives to achieve quality outcomes.  Works in conjunction with the Respiratory Manager and Clinical Educator in order to facilitate effective operation and secure quality outcomes.  Assist the Respiratory Manager in coaching and developing the team

What you will need

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years respiratory experience
  • MA RT license required
  • Supervisor experience preferred
  • CRT required
  • RRT required
  • BLS required

What you need to know

  • 40 hour Night shift position 6pm to 6am with every other weekend required.
  • No holidays.
  • 4 hours each week dedicated to working on the night shift departmental schedule
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
